Neal Caffrey & the fire arms ...
Tonight I saw 2x04 and again I Had a doubt That I asked Jeff Eastin and to all the writers (I'm curious, and seeing That They Answered Sometimes ... XD).
From that question:
@JeffEastin @WCwriters Seeing 2x04 I had a doubt... Both Mozzie and Neal hate guns, it's that "repulse" of both of them related in any way?
It's born an interesting discussion with one of my follows. I'll copy here because I'm curious to know your point of view too. :)

I think they just prefer to use their brains. They're white collar criminals who steal for the feeling of the challenge & not for money or to harm people.

yeah, I agree. But here it's not only this. In 2x01 Neal is really scared about the gun! °° Before when Peter used it and after when the girl take them under aim. That wasn't only a "I don't like them, I prefer use my brain", I saw a really fear of that arms and not only because it's something that could kill them...
Well, this was my feeling, at least. XD

We have seen in S1 Neal doesn't like death & guns but he's had gun pointed at him before & we also know from Hard Sell that he can also shoot very well which surprised Peter.

I'd already thought about this and I had achieve the point that it's a dinstinction between the episodes in season one and the one in season two.
In season one was "for job"... He was undercover (and in the 1x03 he was scared too), he has "play" a guy can use a gun (plus, in 1x08 he was angry with Peter and Peter treated him like a child).
In season 2 was a situation "informal"... he was himself, the con Neal Caffrey that cooperate with the FBI, not some alias; he didn't had a role to play, so we can saw the "real Neal".
... Maybe I think too much? XD
and I miss the point XD that was: he hate guns, he's scared about them but he's a con... it's almost litteraly like an actor, so he can act that touch a gun isn't a problem for him, if he is forced to use one. :)
